"I really don't know why it is that all of us are so committed to the sea, except I think it's because in addition to the fact that the sea changes, and the light changes, and ships change, it's because we all came from the sea. And it is an interesting biological fact that all of us have in our veins the exact same percentage of salt in our blood that exists in the ocean, and, therefore, we have salt in our blood, our sweat, and in our tears. We are tied to the ocean. And when we go back to the sea, whether it is to sail or to watch it, we are going back from whence we came."
President John F. Kennedy
Australian Ambassador's Dinner for
the America's Cup Crews, September 14, 1962, Newport, R.I.

Capt'n Harry & Heidi Ho

Welcome Aboard

This website has been created to allow our family and friends to follow our travels and adventures aboard our CSY 44, Gypsy Wind.
WE ARE IN KEY WEST!!!
Gypsy Wind headed south on August 4, 2009 and on August 11, 2009 we arrived in Key West.
On October 1, 2009, we left the Galleon Marina and are moored on the West side of Fleming Key, about a mile and a half off of Key West.

The website is changing frequently, so please check back often and share the dream!

The Adventure Begins....

Harry, Heidi, Billy, Bill and Carol in Ft. Lauderdale.  We purchased Gypsy Wind
from Bill and Carol, who took wonderful care of her while they owned her, and took
wonderful care of us while we were there getting ready to sail her to Madeira Beach.
Billy, Harry's lifelong friend, helped us sail her home - since at the time we had zero experience.

Clinton's Mississippi Adventure
Heidi's son Clinton  is currently on an adventure of his own canoeing down the Mississippi River.  Heidi has shared his story with some family and friends, as he has shared our story (and told about our website)  with the people he has met along the river.  He has met several wonderful people along the way, many of whom will be friends for life, and has invited them to share in our adventure on this website - so I am inviting all to share his as well.  Click on his picture to get the latest on where he is and how he is doing.
