Below is a detailed description of our boat. At the bottom of this page are links to boat projects and other cool stuff about Gypsy Wind.

Originally designed specifically for the rigors of Caribbean bareboat charter service, the CSY 44 was structurally over built by industry standards. This same production vessel, with added amenities, found widespread popularity in the private yacht marketplace. Out of production since 1981, the CSY 44 remains in demand in the used boat marketplace.
Gypsy Wind is listed on the USCG document as completed in 1982 and on state registration paperwork as a 1982 model year. It is assumed that since the company folded in 1981, this was one of the final hulls produced in the CSY factory but finished elsewhere; likely by the Coats brothers at Antigua Marine. This other local boatbuilder not only finished several boats that were in process when CSY ceased production but bought the molds for the walk through model and continued production as the Antigua 44.
